It has come to our attention that there is a phishing Facebook post of Giant celebrating its 74th Anniversary celebration and giving away free vouchers, published by an unofficial and unauthorised Facebook page. The post also misappropriated our Giant CNY Jackpot Game video. Please note that the post is not done by Giant and may be attempts to phish for your personal information. We would like to advise users not to click on any suspicious links within the post and exercise caution when using your social media accounts. Your use of the Giant Singapore’s (“Giant”) social media channels is subject to the following Terms of Use. These Terms are subject to change and may be modified, deleted or replaced from time to time at our sole and absolute discretion.

Giant’s official Social Media Channels

  1. Giant Super Savers Club Facebook page and Giant Singapore YouTube channel are Giant’s official and authorised social media channels for the public to learn about Giant through information, links, pictures and videos concerning all activities related to Giant and Giant Super Savers Club.
  2. Giant’s social media channels are not the appropriate place to resolve issues, complaints or suggestions about individual sales and service experiences or our products. This does not mean we do not want to hear about such issues, but these types of concerns are best handled by trained representatives. If you’re interested in sharing comments or feedback outside the scope of these social media channels, you can send a message through our customer care centre. Comments and messages may be forwarded to Giant’s customer care departments and personnel to ensure appropriate follow-up.
  3. Any other social media channels that claim to represent Giant are deemed to be unofficial and unauthorised unless officially acknowledged by Giant via its website or official social media channels. You should exercise discretion before relying on information in content published by these unofficial and unauthorised channels as they may contain outdated, false or otherwise misleading information. To the extent that you use or rely on information posted within these channels, you do so solely at your own risk.

Collection and Use of Personal Data

Giant collects, uses and discloses personal data that you submit through private messages for the purposes of customer verification, responding to your feedback, queries and/or requests, complaint and dispute handling, and other purposes related to managing our relationship with you.

User Generated Content

  1. Giant will be entitled to use, make or reproduce, disclose, distribute, perform publicly, create derivative works of, for any purposes whatsoever, without restriction and without any compensation to you. Giant is not and shall not be subject to any obligations or confidentiality regarding the content, except where required by law. Giant is under no obligation to use or post any content.
  2. All user content, whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, is the sole responsibility of the person from whom such content originates from. You will be solely and entirely responsible for any and all content that you upload, post, share or otherwise displayed via Giant’s social media channels. Under no circumstances will Giant be liable in any way for user content including, but not limited to, liability for any errors or omissions in any user content or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any user content posted, emailed or otherwise transmitted via these channels.
  3. Giant reserves the right to remove any comment, post or content published by any individual on our social media channels that is not relevant and/or which Giant in its own discretion deems inappropriate.
