Being a parent is a hard step and we all know it. We all want to provide the best for our children: from feeding to getting the right baby essentials, knowing what to buy and finding the best products take significant time and effort. Fret not! Giant & YoRipe are here to provide you with a few smart feeding tips! We asked our young mummies on their top feeding tips that keep their babies healthy and their lives easy!
Tip #1 Food Pouches Can Save Your LifeKeep a stash of food pouches at home as emergency meals or bring it along on a long day out as a healthy snack. Sometimes, if you’re in a rush and stressed over not being able to cook for the kids, preparing food pouches would be a life saver – especially on bad days.
Tip #2 Extra Nutrients For Pregnant MummiesIt’s really important to eat a balanced diet so both mummy and baby could get the nutrients they need. Among all the nutrients, here are a couple of key ones that need extra attention as they’re crucial for the development of your baby - Calcium, Iron, Vitamin A, C, D B6, B12 and Folate (Folic acid)
Tip #3 When To Start Solids For Your ChildThere isn’t a perfect set time on when it’s appropriate to start solids for your child, but it is recommended to start at around 5-6 months. Start by providing your baby small amounts of solid food once a day, while still feeding them formula or breast milk. You can start with single vegetables and fruits – either blending, mashing soft cooked veggies or even mixing them with your baby’s usual milk.
When it comes to getting new recipe ideas for your new child, YoRipe is the place! They’ve got some fantastic baby and kid-friendly recipes that you can make such as the classic waffle and mashed potatoes.
